Carmen Carmola Cândido was inducted into the Tourism Leader Hall of Honor of the WTJO

During the 11th edition of the International Open Passport Award, held on January 30 in Panama City, the World Travel Journalism Organization announced the induction of Brazilian tourism leader Carmen Carmola Cândido, from Campos do Jordão, into the Tourism Leader Hall of Honor of the organization.

The recognition took place within the framework of the event that brought together journalists, communicators, institutions, and tourism sector leaders from different countries, with a focus on highlighting projects and professional trajectories with social, cultural, and territorial impact. In this context, the induction into the Hall of Honor was presented as an institutional distinction that underscores leadership and sustained commitment to tourism development.

The WTJO  emphasized that the Tourism Leader Hall of Honor seeks to recognize individuals who, from different fields, have made significant contributions to strengthening tourism as a tool for integration, local development, and the international projection of destinations. The selection of Carmen Carmola Cândido was based on her professional trajectory, strategic vision, and consistent work in favor of the positioning and growth of Campos do Jordão as a tourism destination.

During the announcement, her ability to build bridges between the public and private sectors was also highlighted, as well as her commitment to initiatives that promote responsible, sustainable, and identity-based tourism.

The induction of Carmen Carmola Cândido into the Tourism Leader Hall of Honor became one of the highlights of the 11th edition of the International Open Passport Award, further consolidating the event as a space that recognizes not only journalistic productions, but also the individuals who, through leadership and vision, drive tourism development in the region and around the world.
