During the 15º Congreso de Periodistas y Profesionales del Turismo, the 21 most influential travel journalists of the century will be recognized

From November 2 to 7, 2025, the city of Caxias do Sul, Brazil, will host the 15º Congreso de Periodistas y Profesionales del Turismo, an international gathering that will bring together communicators, academics, institutional leaders, and opinion makers around the inspiring theme: “Turismo que move, história que inspira: 150 anos de conexões e desenvolvimento.”

As part of this major event, a special ceremony titled “Primer cuarto de siglo: los 21 periodistas más influyentes” will take place, recognizing 21 travel journalists whose work has left a significant mark on the sector during the first part of the 21st century.

The tribute will be in-person and emotional, honoring colleagues who have contributed with their perspective, commitment, and creativity to strengthening the bond between communication and tourism, building cultural bridges, promoting destinations, and telling inspiring stories.

This award aims not only to celebrate outstanding careers but also to reaffirm the key role of travel journalism in the development of territories and communities, recognizing those who have managed to influence, transform, and mobilize through words, images, and action.
