New WTJO Webinar. AI, tourism, and motorcycles:how to tell better stories in the digital era

The World Travel Journalism Organization announced that on Saturday, January 17, the webinar “IA, turismo y motos: cómo contar mejores historias en la era digital” will take place. This is an open training activity aimed at the general public, designed to reflect on new narratives, technological tools, and ways of communicating experiences in today’s context.

The event will be held online at 12:00 PM Argentina time, 11:00 AM in Colombia and Panama, and 9:00 AM in Mexico.

The talk will be led by communicator Ricardo Gómez de la Roche, a reference in communication and storytelling, who will explore the intersection of artificial intelligence, tourism, and the world of motorcycles as a narrative, aesthetic, and symbolic vehicle. Throughout the session, new ways of telling travel stories, personal experiences, and territories will be explored, incorporating digital resources, ethical criteria, and a creative approach adapted to contemporary audiences.

WTJO highlighted that the proposal aims to provide practical tools for communicators, journalists, content creators, students, and people interested in tourism and innovation, focusing on how technology can enhance storytelling without losing authenticity, identity, or human sensitivity. Artificial intelligence will be presented not only as a technical tool, but as a resource that, when properly used, can expand narrative capacity and message reach.

The activity is part of the preliminary 2026 events calendar of the World Travel Journalism Organization, a year in which the organization will deepen its work in training, critical reflection, and professional updating in response to the accelerated changes in the digital and communication ecosystem.

Registration is free and open to everyone. To participate, interested individuals must send an email to miguelledhesma@gmail.com. According to the organization, this talk is an invitation to rethink how we tell what we experience, how we travel, and how we narrate the world in an era shaped by technology and the constant transformation of languages.
