Salta to host the 11th International Forum of Tourism Leaders, Two Years after the Creation of the Global Network of Emerging Destinations

The World Organization of Tourism Journalism (Organización Mundial de Periodismo Turístico, OMPT) will hold the 11th International Forum of Tourism Leaders this Wednesday, September 9. The event will centre on the development, promotion and visibility of emerging destinations.

The forum will start at 10:00 a.m. at the Hotel Iris in Salta with both on‑site and virtual participation. It marks a special milestone: the second anniversary of the creation of the Global Network of Emerging Destinations. Launched by OMPT, the initiative builds connections, shines a light on territories with tourist potential and fosters new development opportunities for destinations seeking a place on international tourist circuits.

The forum will cover diverse experiences and strategies concerning tourism destination development, communication, digital promotion, ecotourism, and the enhancement of attractions with low tourist recognition.
