On the morning of June 6, 2025, the 6th International Forum for Journalists and Tourism Leaders will take place as part of World Digital Solidarity Day, with a hybrid event featuring Candelaria, Colombia as the main highlight.
Program in Colombia time:
9:00 AM - In-person inauguration in Candelaria, Colombia.
Virtual inauguration from Mexico.
-Presentation of the digital campaign #SigueConTuVida and the book Solidaridad Digital (2025). Miguel Ledhesma, Founder and President of the World Travel Journalism Organization (WTJO) and creator of World Digital Solidarity Day.
-Being a journalist in the era of content creators: how to balance digital reach and social engagement. Katerina Mandrygina, travel journalist and creator of Libro Viajero de Kate, one of the leading YouTube channels promoting tourism in Mexico. She holds a degree in Film and Television Direction with a specialization in television journalism from St. Petersburg, Russia.
-Why is Digital Solidarity important? Ramón Chávez, President of Sodomedi Dominican Republic.
-The traveler’s empathic gap: Ten minutes to disconnect from ego-connection and travel with soul. Míriam Martínez Posada, digital marketing professional specializing in tourism, with a strong commitment to the ethical and responsible use of technology in Spain and globally.
10:00 AM - Presentation of the 15th International Congress of Journalists and Tourism Professionals: Tourism that moves, history that inspires: 150 years of connections and development. Felipe João Gremelmaier, Secretário Municipal de Turismo e Desenvolvimento Econômico de Caxias do Sul/Rio Grande do Sul - Brasil.
