Argentina opens pre-registration for international media for Fampress 2026

The World Travel Journalism Organization has opened the pre-registration stage for international media interested in participating in the press trip that will take place in September 2026. This experience will bring together journalists specialized in travel journalism from different countries to discover destinations, produce content, and strengthen professional cooperation.  


The call is aimed at media outlets and journalists who are certain about their participation, as the program includes an intensive agenda of travel, institutional activities, and professional meetings.


Four itinerary options   


To facilitate the participation of international media, the organization offers four itinerary options, allowing journalists to choose the period that best fits their schedules.

 Itinerary options for international media:


Option 1. Full itinerary. September 1 to 21 September : 1 to 3 Buenos Aires. September 4 to 8 Jujuy. September 8 to 11 Salta. September 11 to 12 Tucumán. September 12 to 17 Catamarca. September 17 to 20 La Rioja. September 21 return to Buenos Aires. 

 Option 2. First period. September 1 to 12 September: 1 to 3 Buenos Aires. September 4 to 8 Jujuy. September 8 to 11 Salta. September 11 to 12 Tucumán.  

• Option 3. Northern period. September 4 to 12: September 4 to 8 Jujuy. September 8 to 12 Salta.

• Option 4. Second period. September 12 to 21 September: 12 to 17 Catamarca. September 17 to 20 La Rioja. September 21 return to Buenos Aires. 



Institutional and journalistic agenda  


The Fampress program will also include activities of relevance for international travel journalism, including:


• The holding of the 18th World Congress of Travel Journalism.

• The celebration of World Travel Journalist Day on September 5.

• The incorporation of new destinations into the World Network of Emerging Destinations.

• Institutional meetings and experiences in each destination visited.  


Fampress aims to strengthen the relationship between destinations and specialized media, promoting the creation of journalistic content and the international visibility of territories committed to tourism development.


Journalists interested in participating must complete the pre-registration form, indicating the chosen itinerary option and confirming their availability to take part on the selected dates.
