Consacá, nominated for Best Tourism Village 2025

El Municipio de Consacá, located in el departamento de  Nariño, Colombia, has been nominated for the Best Tourism Village 2025 recognition, awarded by the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism). This nomination highlights its commitment to sustainable tourism, the preservation of cultural and natural heritage, and the promotion of rural development through responsible tourism activities.

Consacá is part of the Red Mundial de Destinos Emergentes, an initiative that highlights territories with great tourism potential and innovative proposals based on their local identities. The nomination represents a significant achievement for the community and positions Consacá as an example of best practices in the sector.

The official announcement of the winners will be made in the second half of the year, and if selected, Consacá will join a select group of rural destinations internationally recognized for their excellence and authenticity.
