Las Lajas Travel: rural, cultural, and community-based tourism from Ipiales

Since 2021, Las Lajas Travel agency has been working with the purpose of strengthening tourism in southern Nariño by offering experiences that combine spirituality, culture, and community. Their approach focuses on supporting rural, cultural, and community-based tourism, with a perspective that goes beyond the conventional and highlights local heritage.

The starting point of their tours is the iconic Santuario de Las Lajas, considered one of Colombia’s architectural and spiritual gems. However, the agency aims for visitors to enjoy a comprehensive experience in Ipiales and its surroundings.  

Among their offerings are:a craft beer tour, where travelers can discover local microbreweries;pre-columbian handicraft workshops that connect visitors with the region’s ancestral knowledge;visits to chacras , which highlight the value of the land, traditional crops, and communal life.
