Rosario, a destination that beats between the river and culture

Rosario continues to establish itself year after year as one of Argentina’s most attractive travel destinations, blending its urban identity with a deep natural and cultural connection. Located on the banks of the  Río Paraná, the city offers not only unforgettable landscapes, but also a diverse array of experiences that combine history, art, gastronomy, and sports.

The recent celebration of the 300th anniversary of Rosario’s founding, centered around the Monumento Nacional a la Bandera, reaffirmed the city's pride and its ability to present itself to the world as a modern, inclusive destination with a unique identity.

“Rosario is a city that is constantly reinventing itself. We are committed to sustainable tourism, offering experiences that connect visitors with the environment and with the local people,” stated the local Tourism Board.

Must-see attractions include the riverfront promenades, Parque de la Independencia, the Pichincha neighborhood (now transformed into a gastronomic and cultural hub), and museums that tell the living story of the region. Moreover, the legacy of Lionel Messi, the city’s prodigal son, draws thousands of visitors who explore iconic spots, from the neighborhood where he was born to the murals celebrating his career.

Rosario also promotes experiential tourism, with design fairs, artistic festivals, kayaking tours through the delta, and agro-tourism experiences in the surrounding metropolitan area. In recent years, the city has introduced circuits focused on urban art, literary tourism, and the history of human rights.

The growth of both air and land connectivity, along with a wide range of hotels and dining options, strengthens its strategic position within the Litoral corridor. Additionally, Rosario stands out for its year-round event calendar, featuring everything from international conferences to outdoor music festivals.

“Rosario is not just a city to visit; it’s a place to feel,” many travelers say. And indeed, at every corner, visitors find a story that blends the warmth of its people with the strength of a destination that continues to build its future, with its feet on the riverbank and its gaze on the horizon.
