Sixth edition of the International Certification in Travel Neurojournalism

The World Travel Journalism Organization is launching the sixth edition of the International Certification in Travel Journalism with a focus on neuroscience, which will be taught by Magister Miguel Ledhesma, one Saturday per month from March to July 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM (Argentina time). This training represents a professional opportunity that will help participants earn money by communicating their travel experiences. An official certificate will be issued upon completion.

Students enrolled in this specialization will also have free access to:


  • Participation in WTJO press trips with all-inclusive destinations to practice their skills.

  • Story published in a book with ISBN in Argentina.

  • Extra class assistance to refine and edit assignments.

  • Access to a community of specialized journalists.

  • Recordings of the classes for those unable to attend live or who wish to review the sessions.


Tuition fees:


  • WTJO Members and Global Network of Emerging Destinations: free.

  • General Public: 13,000 Argentine pesos, 210 Mexican pesos, or 16 USD.

Methodology:


Each session will follow a participatory and practical workshop format, allowing students to develop their creativity, improve writing, and enhance multimedia presentations when communicating about tourism.


Course Content:


  • Differences between travel journalism and travel reporting, journalism and literature, journalism and neuroscience. Sources of information.

  • Types of chronicles. Press trips and options for low-cost independent travel. Leading figures in travel journalism.

  • Description of people. Language in tourism and travel. Attention to detail. Research.

  • Landscape description. Tourism criticism. Literary resources. Health and travel. Sustainability.

  • Architectural description. Multimedia design. Ethics in travel journalism.

  • Action description (narrative). Audience engagement. Podcasts and travel journalism.

  • Specialization within travel journalism. Multimedia storytelling and social media.

  • Monetization and economic opportunities. How to publish your own travel book.
