Speaker registration now open for the 15.º Congreso Internacional de Periodistas y Profesionales del Turismo in Caxias

The World Travel Journalism Organization (WTJO) officially opens the call for those interested in speaking at the 15.º Congreso Internacional de Periodistas y Profesionales del Turismo, to be held from November 2 to 7, 2025, in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, under the theme:Turismo que move, história que inspira: 150 anos de conexões e desenvolvimento.

This event will bring together journalists, communicators, academics, and tourism professionals from around the world to reflect on tourism as a driver of social transformation and cultural preservation, in the context of the 150th anniversary of Italian immigration to Brazil.

How to apply

Those interested in speaking must send their presentation title and abstract by email to miguelledhesma@gmail.com no later than September 27, 2025.

Once the topic is approved, speakers will have ten days to submit:

• Their presentation slides

• Their travel ticket (air or ground transportation) to the event location

All applicants must first participate in the free virtual course: Curso Integral de Conferencias: El arte de hablar para transformar

Free and open Congress

The Congress will be held free of charge on Monday, November 3, at 9:00 AM (local time) and will include additional activities such as thematic tours of the region, honoring the Italian cultural legacy and its impact on local tourism development.

Speakers wishing to take part in the all-inclusive full tour must have their WTJO 2025 credential up to date.
