University of Guadalajara joins the World Quinceañera Day Declaration

The University of Guadalajara, through the Coordination of the Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainable Tourism Development, announced its official endorsement and support for the World Quinceañera Day Declaration, which will be proclaimed on December 7 in the municipality of Tepeapulco, Hidalgo, Mexico.


  This declaration seeks to recognize the tradition of quinceañera celebrations as a cultural, identity-based, and tourism-related expression, highlighting their symbolic value in Latin American communities and their potential to strengthen local economies linked to event organization, creative services, and experiential tourism.


Through the Coordination of the Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainable Tourism Development, the University emphasized that supporting this initiative aligns with its academic commitment to preserving cultural expressions, promoting responsible tourism practices, and giving visibility to projects that integrate identity, innovation, and regional development.

With this endorsement, the University of Guadalajara reaffirms its role as an ally of initiatives that strengthen Mexico and Latin America’s living cultural heritage, joining the group of organizations promoting this declaration on an international scale.
