Why are we facing the end of influencers and empty leaders?

Over the past few years, the figure of the influencer became one of the great cultural symbols of the digital era. Millions of followers, inspirational speeches, carefully curated aesthetics, and emotional narratives took center stage. However, something now seems to be changing. From astrology, understood here as a symbolic tool for reading the spirit of the times, this shift has a clear explanation: we are closing a cycle of idealization and entering one of action and coherence.

Between 2011 and 2025, Neptune transited through Pisces, the sign that governs fantasy, spirituality, romantic love, and the dissolution of boundaries. It was a period marked by faith in images, aspirational narratives, and figures that promised emotional salvation, quick success, or personal enlightenment. In that context, influencers found fertile ground: narrative mattered more than experience, and image was valued more highly than action.

Astrology does not speak of isolated events, but of cultural climates. Neptune in Pisces accompanied a time when inspiration was confused with truth, visibility with authority, and followers with legitimacy. It is no coincidence that this was also an era of collective disillusionment, symbolic frauds, and the downfall of figures who were unable to sustain in practice what they promised in discourse.

The shift begins with Neptune’s gradual entry into Aries, a transit that unfolds between 2025 and 2026. Aries represents beginnings, the body, action, courage, and direct experience. In cultural terms, this passage signals the end of influence based exclusively on image and the beginning of a stage in which leadership is measured by what is done, not only by what is said.

This does not imply the disappearance of influencers, but rather a profound transformation of their role. Empty leaders fall away: those who built symbolic power without real substance, without coherence between discourse and action, without concrete impact on people’s lives. Those who remain, and those who emerge, are the ones who embody what they communicate, who lead from experience, even if they do not accumulate massive audiences.

At the same time, other astrological movements reinforce this reading: Pluto in Aquarius redefines power structures and puts traditional hierarchies into crisis; Saturn completing its passage through Pisces demands emotional and spiritual responsibility; the lunar nodes shift the axis of collective learning. This is not a single event, but a process of symbolic purification.

From this perspective, the key question is no longer how many followers someone has, but what they transform, what they build, and what they sustain over time. The era now opening demands fewer characters and more presence, less narrative and more action, less idealization and more truth.

Astrology, far from predicting the future, offers a language to understand why certain models stop working. And today, everything suggests that the model of empty leadership, shiny on the outside, hollow on the inside,is reaching its limit.
